I live in Dothan Alabama, near the northern border of florida. I have fish inside but Im wanting to put in a small 100 gallon pond in my yard. The avg temperature here is about 70 degrees. Can anyone tell me whether I need a heater for the winter?

Yes you will need a heater!!!! The ideal water temp. for most freshwater tropical fish is about 75-80 degrees F. Im familiar with that area and it can get far too cold there in the winter to support most tropical fish species.

Yes you will need a heater. Keep it at 80 degrees in the winter just to be safe.
