I have a new tank about 1 month old. I have 2 blood parrots that I bought after tank had been setup about 1 wk. initially they were doing fine and over the last 2 weeks all they do is lay on botton of tank and breath and eat occassionally. They swim infrequently. I am not sure what to do with them. I since have purchased other fish to include 2 other blood parrots whom are doing very well. I have seperated to 2 sick blood parrots with a tank devider just to see if that would help and they would not have to  fight for there food.  Water is fine, temp is 80 and I have salt in tank. Any suggestions would be appreciated or maybe I just need to give up on those 2 fish and move on.

First I should say that I am not a professional and these are just some thoughts. But hopefully someone else can help more.

Personally I'd not give up on these fish if they are breathing & eating.

It is a fairly new tank setup so a tank cleaning should not be in order.
Are there any spots or abnormalities on the fish?
I would surely keep them separated for the time being.
your ph, nitrates, etc are all good?

Here is something to think about:

I have read that temperatures around / above 80 can mess up their swim bladders & cause some swim issues.  Was the tank ever above 80?  what about the tank they were in when you got them? Perhaps they went from a cooler to warmer tank?    I have read that SLOWLY decreasing the temp by a few degrees to around 76 F from 80 F, can help if this is the issue.  Please do a little more research first though as I do not want to kill your fish.

hopefully others can help more with your issue.
